The IP Phone Systems Revolution
By now, I expect most of my readers have heard of VOIP Phone Systems or Voice Over Internet Protocol Phone Systems for the technically gifted, which is a good thing. VoIP systems are leading the way when it comes to telecoms technology, mainly due to the huge savings involved when comparing a VoIP system to a standard, run of the mill telephone system. Due to the fact that VoIP systems are exactly that, Internet based, the costs to run the system are much much cheaper which can in turn be passed on to the end users. You. I am sure most of you are familiar with common, web based systems and software such as Skype, but there are also a few systems that are commonly used in the workplace / office environment such as Vonage and Asterisk that you should also be familiar with. I have had quite a lot of experience with Asterisk due to asterisk consulting Vancouver and IP phone systems in general. The savings we have made in our own workplace by moving onto an Internet based system have been phenomenal and the call quality due to the high speed Internet available these days is absolutely tremendous.
